We’re excited to announce some leadership team changes at MSF. Kate Wears, moves into an Executive Director role, with overall strategic and operational responsibility for the foundation including programs, expansion, and execution of our mission.
Kate said “I’m honoured to take on the Executive Director role at MSF. I am passionate about the Myhre community and dedicated to realizing the ambitions of MSF, that will change the lives of everyone living with Myhre. Our future plans include providing more research grants, educational programs and events, to name just a few.”
Reporting to the Board of Directors, Kate will be working closely with Ines White who steps into the President’s role. Ines said “We’re delighted that Kate is taking on a new role for MSF and that we now have a dedicated resource to take MSF to the next level. I’m proud to step into the President position having worked with the foundation from its creation. We’ve achieved many great things over the last three years, and we have an ambitious plan that takes us into the next three years and beyond. We’re committed to finding answers for the Myhre community so we can treat and manage this very rare genetic syndrome.”
Ines joined MSF in 2019, as one of the first board members and brings a wealth of experience from her military career and other non-profit roles. Assisting Ines is Don Clark, who steps into the Vice President’s role. Don joined MSF in 2021 and, as an aerospace engineer, brings his technical
experience to the benefit of our research programs.
Don said, “I am passionate about advancing Myhre Syndrome research. By working closely with the MSF Scientific Committee and MSF Professional Advisory Board, I hope to expand opportunities in genetic research that could lead to better health outcomes for our community. I am excited to step into the role of Vice President and champion the mission and vision of MSF.”
