Mary Young
Board of Directors
Mary Young is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Public Health from Elon University in 2015 and has worked in translational and clinical research since 2017.
Mary lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her dog Percy and enjoys travelling, seeing live music, and reading. She is just across town from her little sister Anna, who was diagnosed with Myhre Syndrome as a teenager in 2014. After volunteering with MSF since its founding, she was excited to join the Board of Directors in 2024 to further share her knowledge of clinical research and her perspective as a sibling of someone with Myhre Syndrome.
