Jessica Simkins

Board of Directors

Jessica is currently the Marketing and Compliance Director for a small mortgage brokerage. She spent her early career as a veterinary technician before working for two decades in the nonprofit theatre arena as a production stage manager, managing director, and professor of theatre. Jessica holds an MFA in stage management from the University of Kansas City-MO and a BA in theatre with a minor in Arts Administration from the College of Charleston.

Her younger child, Clark, was diagnosed with Myhre Syndrome in 2018 at the age of one. Despite cognitive and developmental delays, Clark is a generally healthy and happy child who loves music and reading. Jessica joined the MSF Board of Directors in 2023. She hopes to use her experience in nonprofit administration and marketing to help further MSF’s awareness and fundraising efforts.

A South Carolina native, Jessica currently lives in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with her husband, two children, and dog where they enjoy swimming, hiking, and gardening. She is an AmeriCorps Alum with a passion for early childhood education, animals, and volunteerism.
