Dr. Lois J. Starr

Dr. Lois J. Starr is the Medical Director, Clinical Geneticist and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Clinical Genetics. Dr. Starr received her medical degree, pediatrics residency training, clinical genetics and clinical cytogenetics fellowship training from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She serves as the medical student and resident education facilitator for medical genetics at UNMC.
Dr. Starr is interested in rare disorders in general. She is involved with craniofacial/craniosynostosis clinics as well as outreach general genetics clinics across the state of Nebraska, with a primary destination of Kearney, Nebraska. She particularly enjoys learning about cardiovascular disorders and incorporating dysmorphology into the diagnostic process. Dr. Starr is the Medical Director of the Multidisciplinary Diagnostic Autism Clinic at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center and is a LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities)-trained physician.
